In Order to be awarded a high school diploma, a student must earn a minimum of 26 units of credit in grades 9-12.
Substitution of any required courses in order to accommodate students with exceptional education interest, needs, or requirements, or who are classified "AT-RISK", will need administrative approval and become a part of the student's permanent records.
Four (4) credits of English:
Grade 9--Language Skills for a Pluralistic Society
Grade 10--Communication for a Modern World
Grade 11--American Literature Survey
Grade 12--Elective English
Three (3) credits in Social Studies-including one (1) credit in Civics/U.S. History, one (1) credit in World History, and one (1) credit in electives.
Two (2) credits in Science-including one (1) credit in Physical Science, and one (1) credit in Biology.
A minimum of two (2) credits, either Algebra FY & Algebra SY or Algebra I & Geometry. Students taking Algebra FY and SY must take 1 year of Geometry.
Physical Education-would include 1.5 credits which will include Phy. Ed 9 1/2 credit; Phy. Ed 10 1/2 credit; and Life Activities taken in the 11th or 12th year for 1/2 credit.
All students are required to take one semester of Life Management Skills.
All students are required to take one semester of Health in Grade 10.
All students will be required to successfully complete a minimum of a one-semester computer class in order to graduate.
Qualifing courses are: Word Processing, Computer Use I or Graphics Arts I.
In addition to the above requirements, the students will be required to select an additional 12 credits to complete graduation requirements for the Dodgeland High School.
All UW System institutions require a minimum of 17 high school credits distributed in three categories, as follows:
Core College Preparatory Credits
English - 4 credits
Mathematics - 3 credits or more
Social Science - 3 credits
Natural Science - 3 credits or more
Other Electives - 4 credits
Foreign Language - 2 credits
