District Administrator Annette Thompson

Welcome to the Dodgeland School District website! Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our district and the important work we do every day for the students we serve.

The mission of the Dodgeland School District is to “provide each student the opportunity to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes to realize his or her potential to lead a fulfilling and productive life”. Our dedicated staff work with passion and commitment to make certain that every student experiences high-quality instruction, a rigorous curriculum, and engaging learning activities every day. Working in concert with our parents and community members, we continually strive to be the best district in the state. Our children deserve only the best, and we have the responsibility to create an optimal learning environment for all Dodgeland children.

There are many programs and accomplishments to celebrate at Dodgeland. From our district-wide Gifted and Talented program to our GED Option #2 program for credit-deficient students, we are meeting the perse needs of our students. Literacy initiatives are yielding significant gains in student achievement. Our elementary school staff and middle school English/Language Arts teachers implement the highly effective instructional practices embedded in Lucy Calkins Units of Study - Writing. In mathematics, our district curriculum is aligned and based on Everyday Math and Big Ideas curriculum. At the high school level, the ACT standards are continually reviewed and embedded into all core content areas.

Technology is another area in which the Dodgeland School District excels. We are the only school in Dodge County where every student - from Four-Year-Old Kindergarten to 12th Grade, has their own school-issued device. Using Apple iPads, learning is collaborative and engaging. Technology is also the pathway to providing additional Advanced Placement classes to our high school students. Students are able to participate in classes through our distance education network and take virtual courses through computer access.

Professional development is a key component in our quest to continually improve our educational practices. Our staff embrace learning and demonstrate to our students the benefits of having a scholarly focus. We are very proud of our staff and recognize that our teachers truly make a difference in the lives of the children entrusted to our care.

Numerous opportunities exist for our students to have a rich educational experience. Although we are a small district, our offerings are similar to those offered in much larger districts. High school students may take courses in graphic arts, photography, and publications. Our welding students have won first place in welding competitions. Our award-winning art department consistently produces stellar works of art. Students may participate in instrumental and choral music programs. A comprehensive array of athletic options, including soccer, round out our co-curricular opportunities. A late bus is available to transport students home. All of these activities take place in the newest educational facility in Dodge County.

We are exceptionally proud of our district! I invite you to learn more about us by perusing this website. You will see for yourself all of the exciting work taking place in the Dodgeland School District!
