Dodgeland District Office & Elementary School

Principal’s Message

Welcome to the Dodgeland Elementary School Website!  You can access information that is updated monthly at Mrs. Johnson’s Principal Page.

Dodgeland Elementary School is located in Juneau, Wisconsin.  We are a unique elementary school that blends the communities of Clyman, Juneau, Lowell, and Reeseville in a new, state-of-the-art facility.  The elementary school provides high quality education to students in 4 year-old kindergarten through fifth grades.  In addition, we provide early childhood special education for 3 and 4 year-olds.  Throughout the years, Dodgeland staff and parents have shown a deep, caring commitment to the children attending our school.  I share that same care and commitment and will always focus on providing your child with successful and positive learning opportunities.

As a school principal, I strongly believe that a school community needs to work together to create a learning environment that is safe, caring, exciting and rigorous for our students.  At Dodgeland, we teach all students to follow the Code of Conduct: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe, and Choose Wisely.  While we work hard at Dodgeland, we also take time to celebrate our success.  Teachers nominate students for “Student of the Month” awards.  In addition, each quarter we gather for our “Dodgeland Pride Assembly” to recognize 3-5th grade students who have achieved Academic Honor Roll status, along with students in K-5th grades nominated for being “On a Roll” academically.

Our theme for the 2010-2011 school year is “Around the World in 180 Days.”  We have many exciting plans this year built around our theme, with several ways that families and community members can contribute.  While we are learning about countries around the world, we are asking for anyone to help by sending/bringing in post cards from locations outside of the United States.  We will be displaying post cards in the hallway with our world map.  If you have any family/friends that live in another country or go on vacation, please ask them to think of us.  I am looking forward to this exciting year as we learn our way “Around the World” together!

Educational success for all students cannot be complete without an effective partnership with all parents.  You are the most essential part of your children’s education, and it is important that we build a strong relationship in order to best serve your children’s educational needs.  Likewise, your input and involvement is greatly appreciated as we work to accomplish our school goals.

Sincerely,

Jessica Johnson
