Voting Information

vote absentee

Please note that this is the most recent information available when written as of March 24, 2020. This information may be subject to change.

At Dodgeland School District, we acknowledge that the COVID-19 crisis is affecting our lives in unprecedented ways. We are also mindful that many individuals in our school community are experiencing disruption in everyday routines, employment and health.

Be assured that our first priority is the safety and well-being of our students, staff and the larger community. We continue to encourage individuals to practice social distancing and to follow the recommendations of our public health officials.

With everyone’s safety in mind, we believe it is important to share information about the upcoming April 7 elections. As we continue to navigate the unknown, we have been advised that the April 7 Spring Election and Presidential Preference Primary is continuing as scheduled. We advise Dodgeland residents to follow the Wisconsin Elections Commission recommendation, and plan to vote absentee.

How to Vote Absentee

  • You must be registered voter to request an absentee ballot

  • Registered voters can request an absentee ballot online at My Vote WI or by contacting their municipality directly.

  • Voters should request an absentee ballot as soon as possible for April 7. The deadline is April 2, but do not wait!

More information can be found on the Dodge County Clerk's web page.

Voter Registration

The deadline to register online to vote has been extended to Monday, March 30.

ONLINE: Residents can register to vote with a photo ID online at My Vote WI until March 30.

IN-PERSON: Residents can register to vote in-person at their municipal clerk’s office until Friday, April 3, or on Election Day at the polling place. Call ahead for hours.

Be sure to call ahead before going to the clerk’s office, as in-person hours and polling locations may be modified in light of the public health order. Schools, libraries and government facilities are exempt from the health department restriction on public gatherings, so those locations may still be used as polling places.

If voters have questions, they can contact the Dodgeland School District at (920) 386-4404 ext. 1014 or email, or visit My Vote WI.

How Can Taxes Go Down? - In 2020, the District will finish paying off the loan associated with building Dodgeland School in 2000. As a result, the debt portion of the school property tax bill will drop. This loan payment reduction gives the community the opportunity to re-invest in our school building to improve learning spaces, safety, and infrastructure with a reduction in taxes.
