Cultivates Community Partnerships

Cultivates partnerships within the school and local community (including families and caregivers, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, public and higher education libraries, businesses) to promote engagement and a community of readers.

Current Practices 

• Participate in school community events such as the open house, book fairs, and end of year picnic. 

• Partner with our community libraries to promote reading through the summer reading program and guest reading sessions.

• Cultivate parent and community communication with social media posts (Facebook, Class Dojo), administration newsletters, and individual parent communication.

5 Year Goal

• Join the Common Sense Family and Community Engagement Program to help strengthen our community's family-school connection and foster healthy media and technology use.
