Dodgeland Help Desk
If students are experiencing issues with their iPad or apps on their iPad, they can contact the Dodgeland Tech Dept. using the DSD Help Desk app. Every student iPad has this app (star icon) to fill out a Help Desk ticket. Fill out the short form and someone from the Tech Dept. will reach out when available. In order for the Tech Dept. to better assist students with their technology problems, please follow these guidelines when submitting a HelpDesk Ticket.
Subject: This line of the ticket is your main problem, not the class period that you are in. Examples of subjects could be: “Apps stuck loading”, “Broken clip on iPad case”, or “Unable to log in to Schoology”.
Queue: Students should select “Tech Hardware Ticket” or “Tech Software Ticket.” A Hardware ticket is anything regarding your physical device. Examples: broken case, cracked screen, stuck buttons. A Software ticket is anything regarding the apps on your iPad.
Priority: Please follow these standards for urgency of your ticket:
-
Emergency: My iPad does not work at all.
-
Urgent: My technology problem is severely impeding my learning.
-
Normal: I have a technology problem, but it is not preventing me from learning.
-
Low: I have a technology problem, but it can wait for now.
Description: Please be as descriptive as you can when explaining your technology problem. The more details you provide, the easier it is for the Tech Dept. to help you. Poor descriptions such as “My iPad doesn’t work” or “I need help” offer no information about your problem.
After you submit a HelpDesk ticket, please check your email often. The Tech Dept. will reach out via email as soon as they are able to assist you with your problem. If you continue to experience the problem OR the Tech Dept. solves your problem, please respond to the ticket. This will let the Tech Dept. know that you need additional help or that your device is working as it should. Thank you!
The DSD Help Desk can also be accessed online if the iPad app isn't working.
If students have questions about classroom tools, please email the teacher directly. This will be the quickest route to find a solution.
