Curates Digital Resources
Leads in the selection, integration, organization, and sharing of digital resources and tools to support transformational teaching and learning and develops the digital curation skills of others.
Current Practices
-
Provide the "Staff Resources Site," a Google site designed specifically for our district which houses access, directions, training, and resources on all digital and technology resources for staff.

Provide digital and audio books and magazines through Sora (specific to our district through Overdrive Collection as well as a part of WSDLC) and Scholastic.

Subscriptions to a variety of online researching resources and databases including Badger Link, Pebble Go, and World Book.

Subscriptions to a variety of educational streaming services including BrainPOP, Discovery Education, and Learn360 to be used in tandem with classroom curriculum.

Work with teachers for input about resources needed to support classroom curriculum.

Builds Instructional Partnerships
Partners with educators to design and implement evidence-based curricula and assessment that integrate elements of deeper learning, critical thinking, information literacy, digital citizenship, creativity, innovation, and the active use of technology.

Curate print and digital materials for teachers to supplement classroom curricular units.

Collaborate and plan with grade levels and teams in order to support with materials or additional instruction.

5 Year Goal
Empowers Students as Creators
Encourages and facilitates students to become increasingly self-directed as they create digital products of their learning that engage them in critical thinking, collaboration, and authentic real-world problem solving.
Current Practices

Teach a library curriculum that instructs students on skills including literacy strategies, book selection and organization, digital citizenship, computer literacy, and coding with an emphasis on ethical research and creation.

Provide room and tools for Maker Space activities including a green screen room, Lego table and wall, microphones, digital displays, and 3D printers.

Facilitate student-run SOS (Student Outreach Session) program during advisory in the library. These classes provide information on a variety of topics including technology, arts and crafts, and passion projects.
5 Year Goal

Continue to collaborate with teachers and provide ethical and innovative ways/ideas that encourage student voice and choice when demonstrating their knowledge.

Continue to foster the SOS and SWAT program through encouraging student participation.
