One of the most exciting parts about this last week of work was the progress we have made for the skylights. As you can see, we have made two penetrations where the skylights are going to be placed. Here the team is welding vertical steel and crossmembers to fully support the new skylights.
Pictures #2 and #3 show where the two new skylights are being installed inside the HS Collaboration area. Vertical steel had to be added to support the skylights.

In Picture #6, the new plumbing lines have all been backfilled and covered with a water vapor barrier. Rebar rods have also been drilled into the existing slab in preparation for the new concrete.
In Picture #7, the underground plumbing and electrical rough-ins have been completed in the STEAM Reno. They have been backfilled, water vapor barrier installed, and poured with concrete flush to the existing slab.
The temporary shoring system is removed! For this new opening in the HS Collaboration, the two steel columns and beam will hold the weight of the existing load bearing walls that were removed.
CMU block has been used to fill the existing openings. This is where the old garage door and windows in the Wood Shop used to be. The new openings in the block show where there is going to be a door put in.

In Picture #12, the foundation walls are all poured and complete! This stride will allow the masonry walls to start being built around the entire addition.
In Pictures #13 - #18, structural steel is going into place! On Thursday 5/20, we had a crane show up on the jobsite to set the structural columns and beams for the addition.
