In this picture, you will see new masonry toothed into the existing wall to create two new door openings. “Tooth” in the masonry world is a term that simply means laying new masonry into existing masonry to match the existing pattern.
This week, roughly 70% of the foundation footings have been formed up and poured! In these pictures, Maas Brothers, our concrete contractor, is installing forms for these pours. Pictures were taken on Tuesday and the pour took place on Thursday. Starting next week, the masonry fire wall will start to go up against the existing building wall, as well as the concrete foundation walls on the other three sides of the addition. We will be out of the ground before you know it!

We have reached the first complete milestone of the project, the secure entrance work is complete! Doors and hardware have been installed, new ceiling and temporary corridor flooring were put in place, and the system has been tested and is ready to go!
